Ushers

The St. William of York Usher Ministry provides
parishioners a unique opportunity to serve in an
important role during Mass.

Ushers are scheduled monthly according to their preferred Mass times and availability. As a ministry of hospitality, St. William of York ushers strive to make parishioners and guests feel welcome and comfortable as we gather together to worship.

Duties of ushers include:

• Greeting parishioners and visitors

• Assisting with seating

• Taking up Offertory collections

• Serving as Eucharistic Guards during Communion

• Handing out bulletins after Mass

Requirements for becoming an usher:
 

• 18 years or older

• Catholic

• Registered parishioner at St. William of York

• Dependable and able to commit to a monthly schedule
